Srinagar, Oct 04 (KNO): One-day practical exposure programme was organized on Saturday at Police Training School (PTS) Manigam for the students of Kashmir Law College (KLC) Nowshera Srinagar.
The initiative was aimed to provide law students with firsthand insight into various aspects of police functioning, investigation techniques, community interaction, forensic science, and ballistics particularly focusing on the newer developments bridging law and policing.
During the visit, students were taken around various facilities at PTS Manigam, including the moot court room, CCTNS unit, smart classes, assault track, and lecture halls where they observed practical demonstrations and training procedures.
As part of the community outreach component of the programme, a special lecture was delivered by the Principal of PTS Manigam Zubair Ahmad Khan (SSP).
In his address, he engaged in an interactive session with the students, highlighting the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and legal professionals in the justice system.
Assistant Principal (Indoor), Farooq Ahmad Mir and Inspector Mudasir Hamid also addressed the gathering, providing valuable insights into the new criminal laws and their implications for both police and legal practitioners.
Suheem Altaf who accompanied the students, expressed gratitude to the Principal and PTS faculty for organizing the informative and enriching programme.
